Sandeep J. Alur works as an Enterprise Architect Advisor with Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) Group at Microsoft Corporation, India. He focuses on Banking & Financial Vertical, & works with top financial firms in India in addressing their Enterprise Challenges. His experience ranges from the days of COM/DCOM to the next generation distributed computing technologies on the Microsoft Platform. He has architected solutions across Microsoft Technology suite and is a stern believer of his own philosophy which says “Enterprise Architecture is an evolution and it grows with Innovation”. He has authored quite a few articles in the area of SOA, ESB, Enterprise Framework, Distributed Computing technologies, Web 2.0 & Next Generation Web to name a few
Axel Angeli, Logosworld, SOA Evangelist
Axel Angeli is the founder of Germany-based Logosworld.com, a company originally specialized in Life Sciences and Artificial Intelligence research. Today, Logosworld is a platform for a small group of technically oriented advisors and analysts, dedicated to SAP-centric Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and evangelizing the concept of SOA as a Darwinistic approach to cope with the eternal change within an enterprise. Speaking five languages and having learned about work and lifestyle in many parts of the world, Axel now focuses on management and troubleshooting of critical mission tasks as head and/or mentor of large, international development teams. Axel is known for his brutally honest presentations and publications where he unveils the true facts hidden by marketing blurbs. His latest project is “Building the SOA City” where he invites communities to demonstrate that SOA by evolution can work (www.soacity.org).
Pethuru Raj Chelliah, SOA specialist, Wipro Technologies
Pethuru Raj has been working as an SOA specialist with Wipro Technologies in Bangalore for the past three years. He has been previously selected as a JSPS Research Fellow and again as a JST Research Scientist to research on emerging computing technologies in two leading Japanese universities for 3 years. He worked as technical manager and mentor for 8 years in Enterprise Java field, specializing in integration middleware and SOA technologies. Most recently, his focus has been on strategic convergence of SOA and Cloud Computing paradigms. He also attained his PhD (CSIR) in theoretical computer science from Anna University, Chennai, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow (UGC) in the CSA department of IISc, Bangalore. He has co-authored a book, titled “Next Generation SOA” (www.soasymposium.com), with Thomas Erl. He has also written many journal articles, white papers and book chapters for various international publications. He has spoken at international conferences on seamless convergence of SOA and Cloud Computing.

Mr. Abhay Chitnis, Head of Technology, L&T Infotech
Mr. Abhay Chitnis, is the Head of Technology for L&T Infotech. He has over 18 years of experience in IT Industry and worked across the technologies and domains in his career. He has worked in the roles of account manager, deliver manager, head of business operations for clients across the globe. He has been instrumental in architecting and developing a number of IP assets for L&T Infotech. Mr. Chitnis has done his B.Tech. and M.Tech from IIT (Mumbai). He is a QPMP certified project manager and CPIM (Certified Professional for Inventory Management) associate.

Dr. Chandan Chowdhury, CEO, IFS India
Dr. Chowdhury is currently CEO at IFS India. IFS is a Swedish multinational operating from 54 countries and is considered as a leading ERP player in utility, defense, railways and project based manufacturing industry. He is considered as pioneer in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and BPR (Business Process Reengineering) movement. Formerly Dean and Chairman (Board of Research) at NITIE, he has studied more than 200 ERP sites in India and abroad. He has conducted research on EAM, ERP, BPR (Business Process Reengineering), World Class Manufacturing Practices, IT driven business transformation and Change Management related issues covering more than 500 companies. He is also the recipient of “International Cultural Diploma of Honor” from the American Biographical Institute, for outstanding professional contribution. His name was nominated by ABI’s (American Biographical Institute Inc.) governing board for biographical insertion in the third edition of five hundred leaders of influence. He has conducted several seminars, workshops and training program for the benefit of industry and rendered consultancy services to many leading organizations and enabled them to improve productivity and competitiveness. He has also headed many strategic research projects for the benefit of industry. He has very strong conviction that “theory without practice is sterile and practice without theory is futile”.
Dr. Harshavardhan Jegadeesan, Project Manager, SAP
Harsh currently works as a Project Manager in the Enterprise SOA team within the Business Suite organization in SAP Labs, India. Prior to this, he was working with the Research & Breakthrough Innovation group on SAP® ByDesign®. He follows his passion for teaching, as an adjunct faculty with BITS, Pilani, teaching graduate courses in software engineering. He actively contributes to JournalServer.Org, a free library of scholarly articles. His areas of interest include service-oriented architectures, enterprise systems and business process platforms.
Shankar Kalyana, IBM Distinguished Engineer and CTO for Global Business Services in India
Shankar Kalyana is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and CTO for Global Business Services in India. In his current role, Shankar is responsible for advising IBM’s clients on the effective use of Technology to address complex business challenges, and aligning the internal organizational technology capability to enable IBM deliver to our Client needs effectively. He is equally responsible for driving the Technical Vitality programs in IBM India and enabling our professionals to pursue a fruitful technical career path.
Shankar’s 24-year experience in IT, the last 9 in IBM, spans all phases of the software lifecycle and multiple customers in various roles. He has architected, designed, developed, and implemented both custom and packaged software solutions, across various environments and platforms. In his role as a technical advisor, he has counseled and assisted Senior Client Executives with I/T strategy and Enterprise Architecture. Shankar is a thought leader in bridging the Business-IT gap and improving business flexibility and agility using approaches such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). He has authored a number of presentations, white papers, and professional journal articles on these topics.
Shankar is the recipient of multiple awards, including two Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards in IBM. He holds a Master's degree in Information Science from The Pennsylvania State University.
Ramkumar Kothandaraman, Microsoft
Ramkumar has been with Microsoft for around 10 years and is currently managing the Microsoft Technology Center at Bangalore where he and his team of architects help customers envision, architect and build solutions on top of Microsoft platform. Over the past decade at Microsoft, he has played multiple roles – evangelized architecture, shaped architecture strategy and led product development teams working with large ISVs. He is passionate about enterprise computing and his areas of interest include building large scale scalable applications, database platform, master data management and Service Oriented Architecture.
Krishna Kumar, SAPLabs
Krishna kumar has been responsible for Enterprise Architecture, Application development/delivery and Project Management of different Products within SAP’s banking and insurance portfolio. He actively involves in coaching the different development teams in the areas of ERP and platform architecture. With over 10 years of industry experience and expertise in the product technology units of SAPLabs India, he has worked with several clients of financial services industry and modeled several value scenarios. He has been one of the successful architects who has pioneered the SAP’s ESOA initiative and is continuously driving the knowledge spread within the SAP empire. Krishna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science and Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and also has an MS in Information Systems from BITS Pilani.
Kapil Mehta, IBM Software Group, Software IT Architect Leader
Kapil Mehta joined IBM Software Group in December of 2006 as a SOA Software IT Architect. He currently leads the Software IT Architecture group for India Kapil joined IBM India having been in the UK all his life, working for various multinationals including Cap Gemini and British Aerospace.
Kapil is an IT Architect with over 16+ years of experience across multiple geographies, roles, companies and technologies.
He brings a unique blend of experience both on the development and deployment sides of the IT
lifecycle and has frequently addressed many global partners in the UK and India, on various topics from tools development through to architectural solutions.
Kapil completed his MSc in Information Technology from University College London in 1993

Rajeev Narayanan, IBM Software Group, Client Technical Professionals Leader India/South Asia
Mr. Rajeev Narayanan is the India/South-Asia Client Technical Professionals Leader of the WebSphere Software Sales Organization in IBM Software Group.
In this role he is responsible for business and technical engagement, strategy and sales around the IBM WebSphere Software-based Technology and Solutions that help clients solve key business issues using Service Oriented Architecture.
IBM’s WebSphere Software business includes Application Infrastructure, Application Integration, Messaging, Connectivity & Business Process Management pillars that are leveraged to define architectures and solutions for various industries ranging from Telecommunication and Utilities to Banking, Insurance, Retail and Automotive Manufacturing.
Prior to this role, Mr. Narayanan led India/South-Asia IBM Software Services for WebSphere Organization and was responsible for the sales and delivery of IBM’s services offerings around WebSphere Software and associated solution areas. As part of his assignments, Mr. Narayanan led the development of new and innovative IBM solutions that solved complex business / technology problems and escalated issues enhancing value to customers across the board.

Sachin Vinod Rathi is Architect Advisor with Microsoft India. Prior to Microsoft, he was with SAP (Research & Innovation) as Architect and was leading Enterprise Services Architecture, Office Integration, Output Management and Forms Integration functionality for Business by Design (A1S) product line. He has led Intellectual Property (IP) initiativesthat resulted in the filing of four Patent disclosures and more than a dozen patent applications. Virginia Sharma, IBM Software Group, Director, Marketing and Communications, India/South Asia
Virginia Sharma is the Director of Strategy and Marketing for IBM Software Group in India. In this role, Virginia will be working closely with the Country General Manager on developing the Software business strategy for India as well as leading the marketing and communications efforts for the 5 IBM Software brands in the region.
Virginia Sharma has been with IBM Corporation for 10 years, serving in various global and regional roles. She has expertise in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, particularly involving social media and events as well as proven business development experience with business partners. Most recently, she was Global Director of Events and Interactive Marketing for WebSphere Software and SOA, based in New York, overseeing 400 events annually, including IBM Impact, one of the largest SOA conferences in the industry. She has also spent several years working with IBM business partners in the small and medium business (SMB) space globally and also headed the SMB business partner marketing organization for Software Group in Asia Pacific, based in Tokyo, Japan.
She has an undergraduate degree from University Of Virginia and an MBA from New York University. Virginia has recently moved to Mumbai from New York, NY to Mumbai with her husband. She enjoys golf and travel.

Vinod Shintre, Founder, Architect @ Attribo
As a Founder Architect, Attribo, India, Vinod oversees all functions based and delivered out of India, such as product engineering, professional services and product support. He also focuses on areas such as customer satisfaction in addition to spearheading Attribo's sales and marketing worldwide. He brings more than 13 years of leadership experience in enterprise applications, infrastructure software, technical services and global business operations.
