MindTree is planning to hire 1,000 more in the next fiscal year. A report by the Business Line says that the mid size IT company is planning to hire more in the near future. CEO and MD Krishnakumar Natarajan said that they would also be giving increments of up to 9% to their employees. He said that they had not reduced their workforce during the recession.

He said that they were not looking to compete with the top guns in the IT industry, as they were content in their niche. The company has added five new services, the report says. MindTree has added infrastructure management and technical support, knowledge services, independent testing services, software product engineering services, and next in wireless.

He also said that in case they intend to buy any company, it would be one with expertise in infrastructure management and tech support
